This year’s league starts April 8 (boys) and April 9 (girls) and runs to June 25. Don’t worry you are allowed to have other commitments and go on holidays. We will shuffle coaches around to meet YOUR flexibility and schedule! We still want your commitment so IF you are event the slightest bit interested please go to the below link to sign up now!

Here are the commitments and age groups:

KINDIES (Boys & Girls Age 4-5) : Sundays 9-10 am

GIRLS
Under 7: Sundays 10:15-11:15 am
Under 9: Sundays 11:30-12:30 pm
Under 11: Sundays 12:45-2:00 pm
Under 13: Sundays 2:15-3:15 pm and 3:30-4:30 pm & Wednesdays 6:15-7:15 pm
Under 15: Saturdays 12:00-1:00 pm and 1:15-2:15pm & Wednesdays 7:30-8:30 pm

BOYS
Under 8: Saturdays 9-10 am
Under 10: Saturdays 9-10:30 am
Under 13: Saturdays 10:45-11:45 am & Tuesdays 6:15-7:15 pm
Under 15 / Under 18: Saturdays 10:45-11:45 am & Tuesdays 6:15-7:15 pm

There will be a Coaches Meeting on March 9th at UVIC in the McKinnnon Building. It will be run in two sessions:

Under 11 Coaches Meeting will run from 6:00-7:30 pm (McKinnnon Room 150)
Under 13 & Under 15 Coaches Meeting will run from 7:30-8:30pm (McKinnon Room 155)

Note: A Master Coach will typically be at all of your sessions to help you out and guide you and help YOU learn! ALSO EVERY session comes with a practice plan that every team will follow each week! SO, all we need from you is your time and commitment and if you aren’t entirely sure yet – just sign up online and we can be in touch closer to April!

Canada Masters Hockey is a new national initiative for hockey players over the age of thirty-five. The program, which was launched in May 2015, will see National Masters teams competing in major International events as early as the Fall of 2015.

The Canada Masters Hockey initiative supports Field Hockey Canada’s strategic objective of developing and strengthening field hockey across the country and fostering a robust Canadian hockey family.

Engaging Master level athletes, the Canada Masters Hockey program will provide field hockey players of all ages the opportunity to continue participation in the sport at an international level.

2018 MASTERS WORLD CUP
Following successful participation from Canada’s Over-50 men and Over-50 women in the 2016 Masters World Cup in Australia, the focus is now on the 2018 Masters World Cup in Spain.

Registration ensures that players will get the latest information about all Masters Hockey opportunities in Canada.
